Expert Trainer: Ann Webb
Ann Webb is the Policy Director for Common Cause North Carolina. Ann's work includes leading policy advocacy efforts across the state and in the legislature to protect and expand our democracy. Prior to joining Common Cause, Ann lobbied on civil rights and civil liberties issues with the ACLU of North Carolina and served as an attorney in the U.S. Department of Labor. Ann is a proud graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and American University Washington College of Law.

Important dates for voters:
November 2 at 3pm is the last day of early voting, as well as the last day to get an I.D. at your county board of elections office. November 5 is Election Day, and all absentee mail-in ballots are due by 7:30 to your County Board. See the video for more important dates related to certification.
Information for voters affected by Hurricane Helene.
Voters in 25 counties affected by Helene may deliver their mail-in ballot to any CBOE office in the state by the deadline. These voters may also request an absentee ballot in person at their CBOE office by 5pm on Monday, November 4.
North Carolina voters will be asked to provide a photo I.D. to vote.

North Carolina is a hotspot for disinformation and voter intimidation. Convey these key messages to voters:
North Carolina has safe and secure elections, and poll workers are trained to address any issue that may come up, including technological issues. Additionally, Election Day is not results night — delays are part of the process, and counties will be counting provisional ballots and confirming results on November 15.
